　　地點(diǎn)狀語(yǔ)從句表示地點(diǎn)、方位，這類從句通常由where, wherever, anywhere引導(dǎo)。

　　§I’ll take you anywhere you like.

　　§Where there is a will, there is a way.

　　§Put in articles where necessary in the following passages.

　　(1)地點(diǎn)狀語(yǔ)從句由where，wherever，引導(dǎo)，如：We must camp where we can get water.我們必須在能找到水的地方露營(yíng)。

　　(2)地點(diǎn)狀語(yǔ)從句與定語(yǔ)從句的區(qū)別 :在于分句在句中作什么成分。作狀語(yǔ)，則是狀語(yǔ)從句;作定語(yǔ)修飾名詞，則是定語(yǔ)從句where引導(dǎo)定語(yǔ)從句時(shí)，從句前應(yīng)有一個(gè)表示地點(diǎn)的名詞作先行詞;而狀語(yǔ)從句前則無(wú)需先行詞。如：Go back where you came from.(where引導(dǎo)地點(diǎn)狀語(yǔ)從句)你從何處來到何處去。Go back to the village where you came from.(where引導(dǎo)定語(yǔ)從句，修飾village)回到你來的那個(gè)村子里去。判斷：①We went home, where we had dinner.此句是where引導(dǎo)的"非限制性"定語(yǔ)從句,這里"where"= at home(先行詞是home)從句還原" we had dinner at home"全句譯：我們回到家，在家里吃了頓飯.②I walk into the canteen where students are eating此句也是where 引導(dǎo)的定語(yǔ)從句，與上句不同之處在于此句是一個(gè)"限制性"定語(yǔ)從句.全句譯：我走進(jìn)了這個(gè)同學(xué)們都在吃飯的食堂。(限定說明了是一個(gè)什么樣的食堂)③地點(diǎn)狀語(yǔ)從句與定語(yǔ)從句其本身屬性就不同：地點(diǎn)狀語(yǔ)從句相當(dāng)于大的副詞;定語(yǔ)從句相當(dāng)于大的形容詞,副詞是用來修飾動(dòng)詞的,例： you can go where you want to go . 你可以去你想去的地方。

　　(3)地點(diǎn)狀語(yǔ)從句的省略，如:Fill in the blanks with articles necessary.(necessary前省略了where it is)在需要的地方填上冠詞。

　　(4)地點(diǎn)從句一般位于主句之后，但為了強(qiáng)調(diào)，也可以放在句首。With a car，a person can go where he pleases and when he pleases.有了汽車，人可以想去哪兒就去哪兒，想什么時(shí)候去就什么時(shí)候去。And where there is shale there is likely to be oli.哪兒有頁(yè)巖，哪兒就可能有石油。[1]
