Dear Sir,
I am writing this letter in response to your advertisement in The Weekly on 16th August, 2012 and wish to apply for the post of Education Counselor. I seek the position of an education counselor in PQR School due my strong wish to help students in their academic, social as well as personal requirements. This dedication along with my experience in dealing with special needs of the children makes me a keen candidate for the job profile.
I have worked with diverse age groups of students as an Aide to Special Education Teachers. I am currently working as an intern for counseling at the Seaford School. My method includes increasing the tolerance levels of the students when they feel incapable of success. I try to help students to realize their inherent potential and to promote a positive self-esteem. I am also mentoring a thirteen year old boy. I, essentially plan the activities along the specific goals that the child wants to achieve through the mentor match concept.
My communication skills, warm personality and maturity would definitely benefit the students of your organization. Please find my resume enclosed with this letter.
